Plantation shutters have become hugely popular in recent years, and it’s easy to see why. They combine the clean, classic lines of traditional design with the practical benefits of modern materials and craftsmanship.

Here at Controlux, we’ve helped both homeowners and businesses across Kingston with the installation of plantation shutters. Whether your property is a period home with bay windows, a modern apartment with sleek lines, or a commercial space that needs a smart finish, plantation shutters can be tailored to suit any environment.

Who Can Benefit from Plantation Shutters?

With plantation shutters being so versatile, they’re a perfect choice for a wide range of customers in Kingston. Homeowners often choose them to boost kerb appeal, increase privacy, and improve energy efficiency, while families appreciate their child-safe design and low-maintenance nature, with no cords or heavy fabrics to gather dust. They’re equally popular with period property owners who want to preserve their home’s character while enjoying the convenience of modern fittings. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently purchased an Awning from Ben and Lucy at Controlux and the experience from start to finish was excellent. The quality of the workmanship was first class and support and service to make this happen faultless. Ben and Alex fitted the unit efficiently and did a very neat job and explained all about the operation of the Awning before tidying up and leaving. I would thoroughly recommend this company due to the dedication and professionalism of the team.
