What Makes Awnings So Popular?

Awnings have become increasingly popular among homeowners – and it’s easy to see why. They offer a practical way to extend your living space outdoors, providing shade on hot summer days and shelter from light rain, all while adding a touch of architectural style to your home.

In a location like Esher, where many properties feature generous gardens, patios or terraces, awnings help create more usable space for relaxing, dining or entertaining. With the option of motorised operation, integrated lighting and custom finishes, they offer a flexible and attractive solution for enjoying your outdoor area throughout the year.

Commercial Use

For businesses in Esher, commercial awnings offer both practical benefits and strong visual impact. Whether you’re running a café, restaurant, shop or office, a well-designed awning can provide shelter for customers, reduce indoor heat from direct sunlight, and enhance your premises’ street presence. At Controlux, we work with commercial clients to deliver bespoke awning solutions that are not only durable and weather-resistant, but also tailored to reflect your brand. From bold signage options to sleek, discreet designs, we help you create an outdoor space that’s both functional and professional.

Great customer service and very nice people. Communication was clear and prompt, and they were always on time to our house. After installation they left our house clean, and the blinds look amazing. Would recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently purchased an Awning from Ben and Lucy at Controlux and the experience from start to finish was excellent. The quality of the workmanship was first class and support and service to make this happen faultless. Ben and Alex fitted the unit efficiently and did a very neat job and explained all about the operation of the Awning before tidying up and leaving. I would thoroughly recommend this company due to the dedication and professionalism of the team.
