Bespoke Light Control for Contemporary Living by Controlux
Bi-fold doors have transformed how homes in Worcester Park function, opening up interiors, connecting indoor and outdoor spaces, and filling rooms with natural light. But with that panoramic glazing comes a challenge: how do you manage glare, control heat, and protect privacy without spoiling the look or functionality of your doors?
At Controlux, we specialise in high-performance blinds for bi-folds in Worcester Park, offering custom solutions that align with both the architecture of your home and the way you live.
With over 35 years’ experience designing and installing intelligent shading systems across South West London and Surrey, we understand that bi-fold doors require more than off-the-shelf blinds. They demand technical know-how, precise fitting, and products built for performance.
Unlike standard windows, bi-fold doors are complex architectural elements:
They span wide sections and often consist of multiple panes
They fold, slide, and glide, meaning anything that obstructs this motion can cause damage
Their large glass surface area amplifies light, glare, and solar gain
Generic blinds often fall short:
They interfere with door operation
Fabric may sag, twist, or catch in the frame or track
They often require constant manual adjustment
Most offer inadequate heat and glare control
This is why the right solution must be engineered specifically for bi-folds; offering minimal intrusion, maximum durability, and effortless control.
Worcester Park presents a diverse mix of housing from 1930s semis and Edwardian terraces to contemporary extensions and new-build family homes in developments like The Hamptons.
Each style brings unique window and door configurations. That’s why Controlux designs every blind system bespoke, tailored to:
Our goal is to provide you with a solution that’s as functional as it is beautiful, a balance of aesthetics, usability, and long-term performance.
We offer a carefully selected range of blinds that are specifically engineered for bi-fold applications, each one fully customisable in terms of fabric, opacity, control, and frame finish.
Perfect Fit Blinds– No drilling required; these blinds clip neatly into your door frames, allowing full operation of the doors without obstruction. Ideal for uPVC or aluminium frames commonly found in Worcester Park properties.
Integral Blinds (In-Glass)- Blinds sealed between the glass panes require zero maintenance, no dusting, and flawless operation via magnet or motor.
Pleated and Duette Thermal Blinds- These cellular blinds trap air within a honeycomb structure, offering exceptional insulation without bulk.
Motorised Roller Blinds with Side Channels- Smart, elegant, and highly effective for wide bi-fold spans. Control via remote, app, or full smart home integration.
Panel Glide Systems- Perfect for extra-wide openings or open-plan layouts, these blinds stack neatly and operate effortlessly.
Bi-folds are prized for their light-enhancing properties, but left unmanaged, they can contribute to serious thermal inefficiencies.
